Numerical Methods & Numerical Algorithms

• In order to be allowed to take the exam, you must
  • not miss more than a third of the exercises (the exercise on November 26th is cancelled) and
  • complete the project described below.

• Bachelor students
• please choose one of the offered project assignments (on ordinary or partial differential equations).
• Master students:
• please choose two project assignments – one on ordinary and one on partial differential equations.
• Ph.D. students:
• you will recive two project assignments separately.

Project instructions

• Pick the assignement and let me know by email which ones did you chose (along with alternatives in case the ones you chose are no longer available) and wait for a confirmation.
• Process a handwritten analysis of the given problems.
• Solve the problem using MATLAB/Python/C/C++/Pascal/Fortran or other suitable numerical software/programming language.
• Send an email with your solution (scanned + the code).
• Come to a meeting where you will present your solution (will be arranged in advance).
